🔍 What’s new:
The Drug Safety Centre issued a new circular to ensure the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products available in the market and to strengthen control over the pharmaceutical supply chain to safeguard public health.

Key points include:

• All private pharmacies and drug stores must procure and source medicines and health products only from authorized and licensed local agents approved by the Drug Safety Centre.
• Any pharmaceutical establishment found procuring or providing medicines or health products from unauthorized or unlicensed sources will be referred to the Pharmaceutical Violations Committee for necessary legal actions.

Private pharmacies, distributors, and drug stores operating in Oman should review procurement channels and supplier qualification procedures to ensure all sourced products originate from authorized local agents.
