OMAN MOH issued new Circular No. 51/2026 – Suspension of Receiving Medicines and Biological Products Registration Files
🔍 What’s new:
The Drug Safety Center announced a temporary suspension on accepting new medicine registration applications for certain products to align with updated local market regulatory requirements.
Key points include:
- Products manufactured by national pharmaceutical manufacturers are excluded from the temporary suspension.
- The suspension applies where the percentage of Omani ownership in the commercial registration of the local agent or the actual beneficiary of the registration, marketing, or distribution is less than 100%.
- The suspension period is three (3) months and may be renewable as necessary.
- The suspension takes effect from 18 May 2026.
